Sustainability
Responsibility and Values!
At Kyly Group, sustainability is among our core values and we take it seriously!
We follow a management model that involves the Economic, Social and Environmental pillars, valuing the perpetuity of the business in a responsible way and thinking about the next generations.
ECONOMIC
On the Economic side, we enter into long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, resulting in business growth and boosting the economy in the regions where we operate.
We recently expanded our industrial park, which will support the growth of the coming years.
Another initiative was the inauguration of the Fio Puro Spinning Mill business unit, which is among the most modern companies in its category in Latin America. In addition, it is part of the SouABR program, which values practical sustainability, ensuring the socio-environmental certification of fiber origin.
ENVIRONMENTAL
We are committed to the prevention and reduction of environmental impacts and the conservation of natural resources.
Energy
The energy used in our production process comes from the free energy market and type i5 - 50% incentive, which means that at least half of it comes from renewable sources. The dyeing and finishing process of the mesh requires thermal energy that is generated through equipment that uses reforested eucalyptus biomass, which is a clean and renewable fuel. In addition to generating the thermal energy needed for the process, we reuse energy from the chimney to dry the sludge from the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETE).
With sludge drying, for example, we reduced the volume of waste to the industrial landfill by 80%, generating less environmental impact and reducing costs.
We periodically carry out analyses of atmospheric emissions from the chimneys and the results have been below the standard determined by current environmental legislation, attesting to the efficiency of the measures to control carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. We have also adopted the practice of Dyeing Effluent Heat Recovery, i.e. we use the heat transfer from the hot water discharged from the machines to heat the clean water treated for the dyeing process.
Waste Management
Activities are diversified in this regard with the objective of reducing or eliminating waste generation.
We have a Waste Center that manages the stocks of each waste to be used for recycling, reuse and industrial landfill. Waste such as textile scraps, paper and cardboard, among others, are weighed to generate a bar-coded label for stock control and, with this information, we try to identify in which sectors we should prioritize actions to reduce or not generate waste.
In accordance with environmental legislation, the transport of waste is tracked through the Waste Transport Manifest (MTR) and the reception of these materials is carried out by companies duly licensed by environmental agencies.
Water Management
We have a Water Treatment Plant for our industrial process and an Effluent Treatment Plant.
In addition, we collect rainwater from the administrative building and drain the air conditioning for secondary purposes within the company (gardening, hydrants, toilets, etc.).
